Fundamentals to watch out for this week

This week is extremely risk heavy and the major focus is on the British referendum.

What to watch for over the coming days –

  • Janet Yellen of U.S. Federal Reserve -

The biggest event of this week from U.S. is on Tuesday when Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen will be testifying before congress. Historically, the event has sparked volatilities across asset class. Wednesday will mark the end of this two-day event. She is likely to be facing questions not only on monetary policies but regulations, global events, growth outlook, auditing the FED, and much more.

  • UK referendum -

The most vital event of the week is on Thursday when the UK will be voting for its membership status in the European Union. An exit has the potential to add massive volatility in UK assets as well as the global ones. However, no-one can say for sure what might happen after an unprecedented event of an exit. According to latest Financial Times’ poll of polls, both camps are tied at 44 percent.
