Darlington-based MyFirmsApp, an innovative fintech business that offers custom app platforms for accountants, announced that it has joined an elite group of organizations in order to develop AI into its applications, with the help of the technology that powers Amazon’s Alexa.
According to reports by a UK news media, the global fintech company’s team will be utilizing Amazon Lex in order to deliver improved interactive experience for accountants and clients via its web, mobile, and connected device apps. MyFirmsApp will trial Amazon Lex’s technologies of speech recognition and natural language understanding capabilities that will have potentials to build an entirely new generation of apps that have human-like intelligence and can see, hear, speak, understand and interact with the world.
“AI is an exciting prospect for accountants as it will effectively add another member to the team that is available 24/7 to answer multiple questions and carrying out simple tasks. This ‘virtual’ member of staff will help the accountant retain trusted advisor status by being available at all times,” Joel Oliver, CEO of MyFirmsApp, stated.
Oliver also believes that the ability to build bots on mobile devices with integrated voice or text chat interface will aid clients and accountants with basic tasks. It will also help them to become more productive as well as transform the way they respond to their customers’ requests.
