The flash GDP growth data of Finland showed that the economy expanded quite significantly in the first quarter of this year. According to the flash estimate, the GDP grew 1.6 percent sequentially and 2.8 percent on a year-on-year basis.
The flash estimate is based on a monthly indicator of total production. Given the very solid beginning to the year, the flash was expected to show a rise of 1 percent sequentially and possibly even more, stated Nordea Bank.
