New York, NY, April 26, 2017 -- Formativ Health, a management services organization, today announced that David D. Harvey has been named as chief technology officer (CTO) to accelerate growth through differentiated and highly innovative technology solutions across the rapidly growing healthcare technology landscape.
As CTO, Mr. Harvey will lead Formativ Health’s technology strategy, product management, software development, IT operations, and partnership ecosystem to deliver technology-enabled Patient Access, Revenue Cycle Management and Practice Operations Services. Formativ Health’s technology-enabled services are tailored to the needs of the healthcare organizations it serves, designed to maximize performance and enable providers to focus on what matters most – patient care. The company partners with providers and health systems to successfully improve their patient experience, patient loyalty, physician productivity, financial health, and ability to adapt to evolving risk/quality-based payment models.
“I am passionate about my efforts to bring consumer oriented services to the healthcare industry; and that passion has and will continue to drive my professional career,” said David Harvey. He added “Formativ Health’s clients will embrace and benefit from the idea that getting their relationship with Patients right on the front end of care will create significant downstream clinical and financial improvements for all involved.”
“David has a proven track record of innovation, creating new solutions that leverage technology to drive business growth. As we continue to shape our technology agenda at Formativ Health, we needed leadership talent with deep experience solving the challenges that exist for health systems, providers and patients in healthcare to take us to the next level. As we searched for that leader, David stood out as someone who could lead product strategy and bring an enormous amount of expertise to help us navigate the future,” said Dennis Dowling, Chief Executive Officer.
David is uniquely suited to drive these efforts forward and help Formativ Health continue to evolve their technology platforms and operations. He is a seasoned entrepreneur, healthcare technologist and advisor to health IT companies. David was the CEO and co-founder of MedicalMessaging.net from 2001 to 2008, a company acquired by athenahealth. From 2008 to 2015 David was Vice President of Product Strategy for athena where he served on the executive team, led product strategy, successfully launched two new service offerings, and served as the general manager for athena’s Atlanta, GA office. David has a pulse on the needs of both provider organizations and the patients that they serve and will help Formativ play an instrumental role in healing much of what ails the U.S. healthcare system.
