A sharp increase in ethanol production in the US was noticed in yesterday, but that didnot influence the corn price.
Ethanol production surpassed the 1 million barrel per day level for the first time, states US Department of Energy. It recorded highest level of production since May 2015.
"The higher demand for corn for ethanol production could offset the weaker export demand for corn, thereby preventing a more pronounced rise in US corn stocks", says Commerzbank.
