Mr. Slom comes to Empower after running the solar asset acquisition efforts for Pardee Resources for over seven years. Michael led Pardee’s investment of over $60 million into Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar energy projects and is a highly respected figure in the solar development and financing world. Michael brings to Empower a deep network of relationships with leading developers, EPC contractors and equipment vendors from his background in acquiring late stage solar projects.

Michael will play a similar role at Empower Energies, where he will focus on building out Empower’s relationships with leading developers, EPC contractors and equipment vendors with early to late stage projects for acquisition by the DG Fund, Empower’s C&I distributed solar project fund. The DG Fund provides the complete capital stack for the construction and acquisition of distributed solar projects and is supported by capital commitments from industry leading tax equity and cash equity investors. Michael will be reporting to Ken Beiser, the head of the Sales and Business Development group at Empower.
