Irondale, AL, March 20, 2017 -- EWTN will commemorate the first anniversary of the death of its iconic Foundress, Mother Mary Angelica, with a series of events, including a Holy Hour, Divine Office, two Masses, and three special programs that originally aired on the date of Mother’s death.
“As we approach the first anniversary of the death of Mother Angelica, I am reminded of the many ways her example continues to guide our mission and inspires all of us here at EWTN,” said EWTN Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw. “She remains for us a guiding light as we make our way through these very secular and troubled times."

- 4:30 p.m. ET, Sunday, March 26: In Memoriam: A Look Back to Mother Angelica’s Passing: This 90-minute encore special features EWTN Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael P. - 7:30 a.m. ET, Monday, March 27: Divine Office In Memoriam at Hanceville Shrine.
- 8 a.m. ET, Money March 27: Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel on EWTN’s Irondale campus.
- Noon ET, Monday, March 27: Holy Mass on the One Year Anniversary of Mother’s Passing: Celebrated by Birmingham Bishop Robert J. Baker, with a homily by Fr. Mark Mary.
