BOSTON, April 27, 2017 -- Toast, the all-in-one restaurant technology platform and one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in the U.S., today announced it will expand its Boston headquarters within Samuels & Associates’ Landmark Center in The Fenway, while at the same time announcing recognition by BostInno as its 2017 “Tech Madness” winner; out of 150 companies, Toast was voted “the most valuable tech company in five years.”
On the heels of this win, Toast’s expanded headquarters will significantly grow the company's footprint in order to accommodate its breakout growth. Toast is expected to hire 250 or more employees in 2017 as it grows into the new office space.
“From our founding as a three-person team in a basement to our expansive growth in Landmark Center, we've remained unwavering in delivering the best customer service and restaurant POS system built for restaurant success. Clearly, this commitment has resonated with leading brands across all 50 states,” said Chris Comparato, CEO of Toast. “Our achievements stem from having the best team in the industry, a world-class restaurant POS system, and an obsession with customer success. We are committed to doubling down on this vision in the years ahead, and look forward to expanding within Landmark Center to foster an environment of innovation, creativity and collaboration.”
Toast moved into Landmark Center in the summer of 2015, part of a nearly half-million square foot influx of office tenants drawn to the neighborhood’s diverse workspaces, restaurants, shops, parks and transit accessibility.
“Toast’s success is a perfect example of what it means to grow in The Fenway,” said Peter Sougarides, principal at Samuels & Associates, which owns and manages Landmark Center. “Companies here are at the center of it all, and when the neighborhood’s creative, entrepreneurial spirit becomes part of their DNA, the growth potential is limitless.”
