Gettysburg, PA, April 05, 2018 -- OPEN MINDS announced the addition of industry thought leader and value-based contracting expert, Deborah (Deb) Adler, to its national consulting practice. Ms. Adler joins OPEN MINDS’ team of 150+ senior advisors, subject matter experts, and research analysts with specific expertise in the health and human service markets serving complex consumers.
Deb Adler is well-known and respected for her recent leadership at Optum/UnitedHealth Group, where she led the development of the nation’s largest, performance-tiered behavioral health network- including the largest telemental health network, as well as the largest medication-assisted treatment network. During her work with Optum, Ms. Adler was responsible for all network strategy and service functions- including provider relations, provider performance, network implementations, contracting and pricing. An innovator known for her ability to execute results, Deb Adler has demonstrated experience facilitating network designs and benefit plan approaches that achieve both quality outcomes and health care cost savings. She has a wealth of experience and a keen understanding of the unique customer requirements across all lines of business- commercial, employer, Medicare, Medicaid, and military.

Prior to serving as the Senior Vice President of Network Strategy for Optum/UnitedHealth Group, Deb Adler held multiple leadership roles at ValueOptions, Inc. (now Beacon Options), including Executive Vice President, National Network Operations and Chief Operating Officer, Health Plan Division. Her past consulting work spans a broad range of customers (provider organizations, payers and government programs) as well as topics including: collaborative care models/medical behavioral integration, provider network functions, contracting, network designs, and recruitment and reimbursement strategies.
