“Dark” season 2 is back and fans are ecstatic. It is a thriller that seems to have a concept that is hard to grasp but it is actually this mind-bending trait that drew the audience to the series.
The drama also features heavy time-traveling where the viewers saw the characters traveling in the years 2019, 1986 and 1953. These are the years so far and “Dark” season 2 could show more time shifts as it unravels a new plot line.
In any case, the first look for “Dark” season 2 was already revealed by Netflix to tease the fans a bit. The still photos suggest that the drama will be darker and some kind of supernatural twists could be happening in Winden.
As per Syfy Wire, the official synopsis for “Dark” season 2 reads: “Jonas finds himself trapped in the future and desperately tries to return to 2020. Meanwhile, his friends Martha, Magnus, and Franziska are trying to uncover how Bartosz’ is involved in the mysterious incidents occurring in their small hometown of Winden.”
Also, more and more people are drawn into the events orchestrated by an obscure figure who seemingly controls everything that is connected throughout different time zones.”
Based on the teaser, Jonas who went to the post-apocalyptic wasteland in the finale of the first season. His trip will make them understand what happened to the apocalypse that will take place in 2052. It was suggested that “Dark” season 2 will be about learning what led to the apocalypse, how it happened and can they stop it?
Through all these travels and aim to find out more about the doomsday, secrets will be revealed and this will lead to conflicts among the people. What each of them did wrong will also be uncovered but the time-travel is the only way to save humanity. The question is - will they just let their secrets out even if some people are hurt to change the future in “Dark” season 2?
“Dark” season 2 will premiere on June 21. The show will welcome new cast members that include Sandra Borgmann, Sylvester Groth and Winfried Glatzeder.
