“Community Bank of the Chesapeake is thrilled to take part in making a difference in its communities through its annual Food and Toy Drive. Especially during this season, our thoughts turn to those who need our support the most,” said Diane Hicks, Assistant Vice President, Marketing Manager of Community Bank of the Chesapeake. “There are so many families in need of a toy to provide their child or food to place on the table that it brings great joy to give as much as we can.”
The Food and Toy Drive will benefit several nonprofit organizations throughout the Bank’s service area. Food collected in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s counties will be donated to the Southern Maryland Food Bank. Food donated at the Bank’s Virginia branches will support the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank. All toys collected will benefit the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots programs in Southern Maryland and Fredericksburg. Anyone wishing to help make a difference in the life of a child or family in our community this holiday season by making a donation is invited to stop by any Community Bank of the Chesapeake branch.
“The best part of my job is when I see the community helping the community. It is the partnerships that we value most and they are truly the only way we, Southern Maryland Food Bank, can assist as many families in need as we do,” said Brenda DiCarlo, Director of Southern Maryland Food Bank.
