7-Eleven will begin test-driving 'Neubie', an autonomous, short-range delivery robot equipped with a camera-based autonomous driving system at a store in Seoul's Seocho district.
According to the convenience store chain, Neubie demonstrates outstanding maneuverability in urban areas and could deliver under various weather conditions.
7-Eleven will focus on the robot's systematic and operational improvement as it adjusts to the open, complex urban environment rather than limited indoor spaces like buildings and shops.
The convenience store chain will expand the robot's service area to 300 meters and introduce an additional number of robots in the next three months of the intensive trial period.
