Chinese cotton imports fell to 10-year low in September

According to the China Cotton Association, China imported 51,000 tons of cotton in September, which is nearly 60% less than in the same period last year.

September cotton imports have thus fallen to their lowest monthly level since 2005. Imports in the past nine months have slumped by 42% year-on-year and total 1.16 million tons, notes Commerzbank.
