As part of its Chiesi in the Community program, the company has pledged to donate to three area charities for every strikeout a Bulls pitcher records. Each Triangle-based nonprofit will be featured for 23 consecutive home games during the season. The recipient organizations are Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Children’s Flight of Home and Me Fine Foundation.
“Our partnership with the Durham Bulls serves as a platform to spread awareness for these organizations in our community,” said Josh Franklin, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development, Chiesi USA. “The scope of all three nonprofits is aligned with our Chiesi in the Community mission of supporting the health and well-being of members in our community. We hope that through this stadium spotlight opportunity we can showcase their incredible work and generate greater visibility of the specific needs each group meets.”
The community is invited to support the three organizations during the season. Inter-Faith Food Shuttle will be the featured strikeouts recipient April 5 through May 16; Children’s Flight of Hope, May 17 through July 7 and Me Fine Foundation July 8 through September 3. At the conclusion of the season, Chiesi and the Durham Bulls will present donation checks to all three nonprofit partners.
“We’ve partnered with Chiesi for a few seasons now and look forward to that relationship each year,” shares Nick Bavin, Director of Corporate Partnerships. “What stands out to us, is the true commitment Chiesi has to the community. Each year the company finds new and exciting ways to create both excitement and engagement in the area.”
