RIDGELAND, Miss., Feb. 20, 2018 -- Butler Snow is pleased to announce the firm has been named Product Liability Firm of the Year by Benchmark Litigation. The Benchmark Litigation Awards honor firms that emerged as leaders in their particular areas of law over the past 12 months. Winners are chosen based on interviews with litigators across the country and their clients. The award was presented Feb. 15 as part of the Benchmark Litigation 2018 U.S. awards ceremony in New York City.
“We are truly honored by this recognition,” said Donald Clark, Jr., chairman, Butler Snow. “This award illustrates the success of our product liability attorneys and their commitment to the highest levels of client service.”
Butler Snow has a long history of successfully defending product liability claims on a regional and national basis. The firm’s wide-ranging experience includes representation of manufacturers, distributors and service providers from an array of industries, including leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies, automotive and recreational vehicle manufacturers, and manufacturers of agricultural and industrial chemicals. Butler Snow litigators are among the most active trial lawyers in the country and are regularly called upon to lead trial teams in some of the most challenging jurisdictions nationwide. The team has defended matters in virtually every state and numerous foreign countries and serves as national counsel in complex, multidistrict class-action and mass tort litigation, as well as lead counsel in the defense of single plaintiff matters.
In addition to winning Product Liability Firm of the Year, Butler Snow was shortlisted for Mississippi Firm of the Year and Tennessee Firm of the Year, while attorney Christy D. Jones was shortlisted for Product Liability Attorney of the Year. Seven Butler Snow attorneys are listed individually as 2018 Benchmark Litigation Stars – William M. Gage, John C. Henegan, Christy D.
