Scottish National Party (SNP) leader Nicola Sturgeon has warned that Scotland should get another referendum if Britons vote in favor of exiting the European Union, thus bringing Scotland out of EU, against the will of Scottish people. Scotland is more likely to vote to stay in European Union, than their British counterparts. So this is clearly the biggest threat involved in Brexit uncertainties.
Sturgeon’s SNP has won almost every seat but 3 in last year’s federal election and is expected to win a sweeping victory in Scottish election next month. Last time a referendum was held back in 2014, Scottish people voted 55-45% in favor of staying in United Kingdom.
Scottish Nationalists have already warned UK Prime Minister David Cameron, that there could be a referendum.
Pound is feared to suffer a lot, drop as much 15-20% if British voters choose the exit way but that drop could intensify, if result shows, majority of the Scots votes in favor of stay.
Pound is currently trading at 1.415 against Dollar.
