Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still locked in a bitter custody battle. However, it seems that the end of the rather eventful negotiations is finally approaching its conclusion as evaluation of their children has officially started, The Blast reported.
According to the article, Dr. Stan Katz has been assigned by the court as a custody evaluator to oversee the proceedings, with the physician’s findings the basis for the final resolution for the case. This evaluation will involve interviewing the family’s caregivers, as well as the children themselves. In the meantime, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will continue their temporary custody agreement as the evaluation unfolds in Los Angeles.
Both celebrities have settled down with their back-and-forth accusations that erupted a few months ago. Angelina Jolie recently accused Brad Pitt of being a deadbeat father, which the actor countered by saying that he’s already spent millions in child support. He added that he even loaned the “Tomb Raider” actress a hefty sum in order to purchase a house in L.A.
Now, the two stars have finally mellowed down and ceased throwing damaging accusations at each other, especially since the custody case is picking up speed. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s current relationship is the complete opposite of what they had when their romance first sparked on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”
And even when they decided to part ways, it wasn’t as bitter as what can be observed today. "Divorce Court" judge Lynn Toler said that she loves to use Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce as an example since their past approach was the right way of getting things done.
It can be recalled that the rift between the ex-couple started when the “Troy” actor allegedly became “verbally abusive” and “physical” with their son, Maddox. Following this incident, Brad Pitt was investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, which concluded that no abuse took place. Despite the verdict, Angelina Jolie still filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the ground for the split.
