McNamara, who is well-known for his expertise in global trade and transportation infrastructure issues, will moderate a panel entitled The New Political Landscape and Its Impact on the Maritime Industry. Participating panelists will discuss how the new political environment could impact U.S. trade and trade deals, help or hurt declining and emerging world markets, affect funding for transportation infrastructure projects, and potentially transform the industry. The conference will host 350+ attendees, representing many of the world’s major shippers and service providers.
“JAXPORT’s Logistics and Intermodal Conference is particularly timely, as next month marks the end of the Trump administration’s first 100 days in Washington,” said McNamara, who also serves as Managing Partner of Boyden Washington D.C. “It is of utmost importance to consider substantial subjects like foreign trade and how it will affect the U.S. going forward during this key time of transition, particularly in the world of cargo transportation.”
The other confirmed panelists include:
- Kurt Nagle – CEO, American Association of Port Authorities
- Tom Feeney – President and CEO, Associated Industries of Florida
- Reynolds Hutchins – Associate Editor, JOC.com
- Darrell Wilson – Assistant Vice President, Government Relations, Norfolk Southern Corp.
“The New Political Landscape” is part of a series of panel discussions and keynote presentations at the conference addressing issues of importance to logistics and intermodal decision makers. The conference will be held at the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort in St. Augustine, Florida.
