SEATTLE, March 08, 2018 -- Blue Nile, the largest online retailer of certified diamonds and fine jewelry, today announced the appointment of Bill Koefoed as Chief Financial Officer reporting to Chief Executive Officer Jason Goldberger.

Mr. Koefoed joins Blue Nile with extensive experience in the financial management of digital-focused companies. Most recently, he acted as Partner and CFO for BCG Digital Ventures, a corporate investment and incubation firm. Prior to that, Mr. Koefoed was CFO at Puppet Labs, a leader in IT automation, for which he was named CFO of the Year by Portland Business Journal in 2015. During his time at Microsoft, from 2005-2013, he led the company’s investor relations group and served as CFO of Skype.

Mr. Koefoed received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and is also a Certified Public Accountant. He lives in Bellevue, WA, with his wife, has two children in college, and enjoys skiing and being outdoors in the Northwest.
