BlockCDN releases TV set-top box miner to perform mining at home

BlockCDN, blockchain-powered CDN trading platform, announced the release of its TV set-top box miner that takes extra internet bandwidth and turns it into digital cash.

The breakthrough design system is called ‘Idle Flow’ mining that is easy to use.  The device plug-in is presently limited to Android TV set-top boxes with plans to expand quickly to other platforms. The system will enable users to perform mining activities in their home by installing a simple piece of software. This provides BlockCDN an advantage over other mining systems, the official release stated.

“BlockCDNs aim is to bring the sharing economy to this vast store of unused internet resources, turning waste into money. BlockCDN is a waste recovery officer for the internet,” Tony Long, CEO of BlockCDN stated.

In order to set up the device, firstly, an empty external storage device should be connected to Android TV Box via its USB interface. The external storage must have at least 50GB capacity and a folder BCD must be created under the list. Secondly, the user must create a document called ‘account.txt’ within the BCDN folder and paste in their ETH address & invitation code using “&” to separate the two. The codes can be obtained from the team on Slack. Finally, it can be directly installed on the TV box.

“Due to unprecedented demand in BCDN mining, those interested in running the TVBox or other miners through BlockCDN are required to take part in the ICO to the value of 50ETH or more. This is essential at this time due to the absence of incoming revenue throughout this ICO period but happily you will receive 50,000 for your ETH and a share in 40% of the profits for the first three years,” the company stated.
