It has been roughly four years since Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert got divorced. The two have clearly moved on from each other as the “Tin Man” singer confirmed she got married recently. The “The Voice” coach, on the other hand, is rumored facing some delays in marrying Gwen Stefani.
Since Shelton and Lambert parted ways, he found love in Stefani whom he had the chance to work with as fellow “The Voice” coach. Their social media pages will prove they have been inseparable since. Their romance has also led to relentless rumors of engagement and secret weddings, but nothing has really panned out yet.
Recently, a source of Us Weekly claimed that Lambert’s ex will have to wait a little longer before he can settle down with the former No Doubt vocalist Stefani. The insider alleged that Shelton’s long-time partner has just started the “formal process” of having her marriage with Gavin Rossdale annulled by the Catholic Church. Stefani and Rossdale were married in 2002 but got separated in 2015, and have three kids namely Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 4.
Stefani really wants to marry Shelton in a church ceremony, the source claimed. “Gwen’s religion has always been extremely important to her, and Blake is completely supportive of this,” the insider added.
Not surprisingly, more wedding rumors started flying for Shelton and Stefani when Lambert announced her wedding with NYPD Officer Brendan McLoughlin. However, the couple never confirmed any of these claims.
Another insider told PEOPLE that Shelton was not bothered that Lambert got married before he can walk the aisle with Stefani. “He put Miranda in his rear view mirror long ago. Miranda brings nothing positive to his life,” the same source said. “Their marriage ended and he moved on. Ever since, he is grateful every day.”
