‘Black Sails’ season 4’s episode 9, titled “"XXXVII," will follow Silver and his men as they hunt down Flint on Skeleton Island following the latter’s betrayal in the previous episode. Silver will also attempt to rally other pirates against Flint.
The brief synopsis for episode 9 posted on TV Guide reads, “A rescue plan may come between Flint (Toby Stephens) and Silver (Luke Arnold); Max (Jessica Parker Kennedy) discovers the real price of freedom; Rackham (Toby Schmitz) tracks his prey; the Walrus sails into uncharted territory.”
As the series nears closer to the finale, things begin to intensify for Captain Flint and the rest of the band of pirates. It seems that the upcoming episode will follow “Long” John Silver and his men as they hunt for Flint on Skeleton Island. Flint is left to fend for himself as he struggles through one of the most difficult times ushered in by a series of luckless events.
The previous episode, titled "XXXVI," featured the height of Flint and Silver’s failed partnership when the former stole the chest full of treasure. Flint lied to Silver and managed to escape with the chest, leading the two to an imminent confrontation on Skeleton Island.
The promo shows Flint’s desperate situation as he struggles to fight off enemies from all sides. It seems that everyone is out to get him, especially Silver, who was at some point an ally. Silver promises everyone that if they work together against Flint, it will ensure a victory.
It will be interesting to see who will come out alive in the upcoming episode, considering that the battle for power has become quite uneven. According to Christian Post, episode 10 will be the penultimate episode before the series finally comes to an end on Starz.
‘Black Sails’ season 4’s episode 9, titled “"XXXVII," is scheduled to air on Starz on March 26, 2017. It was directed by Steve Boyum. It will be followed by episode 10, titled "XXXVIII,” scheduled to be released on April 2 and directed by Jonathan E. Steinberg.
