BIGBANG is one of the biggest Kpop artists in South Korea. The group rarely appear on shows or interviewed by still, they make big headlines from time to time and not just for good reasons but for bad as well.

It is already well-known that Seungri, the youngest in the team, had quit after he got entangled in a web of controversies that involved drugs, sex, bribery, prostitution, fraud and more. Due to the suspicions against him and his ongoing investigations, he was forced to quit from the entertainment industry, which also means he left his group that made him popular.

But Seungri is not only the member who tarnished BIGBANG’s name because there are other members who also had sex and drug-related stories attached to their names. Among the five members that include Daesung, Taeyang, G-Dragon, TOP, and Seungri, the last three mentioned names had their share of scandals.

Seungri

Seungri is not able to enlist in the army yet as he is being investigated for many cases, including drug use, prostitution, sexual assault, colluding with the police, embezzlement, and more. His cases have yet to be decided on by the prosecutors, and he is said to be facing a total of seven charges as of June 25.

His drug use scandal happened a while back, and a test revealed a negative result. With that, YG Entertainment warned about spreading false info about the BIGBANG member since the allegations were proven to be wrong.

Seungri also once appeared on Japanese newspapers, half-naked and sleeping. The woman who took the photo claimed that the idol singer likes to strangle her while they had sex and this was in 2012.

TOP

BIGBANG’s TOP is the oldest member in the group whose real name is Choi Seung Hyun. He is really the silent type, but in 2017, he was reported to have used marijuana. This news broke out while he was already serving as a conscripted policeman, and after admitting to his crime, he was expelled from the police force.

He was transferred to Yongsan and served as a social service worker as he resumes his army service. For his offense, he was sentenced with 10-month jail term suspended for two years and a fine.

G-Dragon

He is the leader of BIGBANG and made headlines not just for drug use but for allegations of receiving special treatment from the army. He was hospitalized in the military hospital for his ankle injury, and the time he spent there was questioned. He was confined for about 40 days and said to have been using a special private room, so there were suspicions of special treatment.

Lastly, in 2011, he was in the headlines for smoking marijuana at a club in Japan. He was let go because it was his first offense, and only a small amount of the drug is involved.
