“Bachelor In Paradise” Postpondes Production Over Alleged “Misconduct”: What Happened On The Set?

Excited for the upcoming season of “Bachelor In Paradise”? There might be a little delay with the debut of the show’s fourth installation, as production for the reality series has been shut down temporarily. According to multiple reports, ABC halted production in Mexico over alleged “misconduct” that happened on set.

In a statement on Sunday, Warner Bros. said, "We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of “Bachelor in Paradise” in Mexico. We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.”

A source clarified that the misconduct was actually a drunken sexual encounter between two cast mates, which was witnessed by a show producer. The source told People.com that the conduct appears as if there was no proper consent given.

The new “Bachelor In Paradise,” which is expected to debut on August 8 this year, will be welcoming back some of the controversial personalities in the last “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” seasons.

Buzzfeed notes that Corinne Olympios, a fan favorite/villain in the recently-concluded Nick Viall-headlined season of “The Bachelor,” will be among the new cast members. She joins fellow last season contestant Taylor Nolan, who was her sworn enemy, first runner-up Raven Gates, dolphin costume wearer Alexis Walters, and Amanda Stanton, who was in the last season of “Bachelor in Paradise” and in the Ben Higgins’ season of “The Bachelor.”

Recently kicked out DeMario Jackson, who lied to this year’s “Bachelorette” Rachel Lindsay about his relationship status, Derek Peth from JoJo Fletcher’s “Bachelorette” season, Nick Benvenutti and Alex Woytkiw, who are also from JoJo’s season, and Ben Zorn from Kaitlyn Bristowe's season of “Bachelorette.”
