Australian employment likely to see a modest decline in November

Australia's employment change month on month is expected by the market consensus to decline by 10% on seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployment rate is expected to be 6% and the participation rate is expected to be 65% sa.

The October gain was not sustainable, the strength might be related to sample rotation.

"... we expect only a modest 15k decline in employment, which would leave the three-month average employment growth rate at 14.3k, equivalent to an annualized rate of 1.5%, which is only a little below the rate that we see as the current trend", says Societe Generale in a research note.
