Asus ROG Phone 8 Set for Global Debut: A Gaming Powerhouse Unleashed

The upcoming Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, promising cutting-edge gaming experience, set to launch globally.

The ROG Phone 8 series will make its global premiere at CES 2024, according to Asus.

Asus ROG Phone 8 Series Will Be Available in India on January 8

The release date has been planned for January 8. Asus India has now announced that the tablet will be available in India on the same day, according to Gizmo China.

Aside from the worldwide market, the ROG Phone 8 series will be available in China on January 16. The smartphone will compete against the Red Magic 9 Pro, which just went on sale in the global market.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro's reported specifications include a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and an amazing 120Hz refresh rate, guaranteeing an immersive gaming experience. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC is believed to power the gadget, as confirmed by a previous Geekbench listing. Potential configurations might include a choice of 16GB or 24GB of RAM, as well as storage capacity ranging from 512GB to 1TB.

According to rumors, the smartphone will include three cameras: a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP telephoto lens. The front is said to include a 32 MP camera for taking selfies. The smartphone is expected to include a powerful 5,500mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging.

An in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio socket, a 5-magnet speaker system, and connection capabilities like Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC are also expected on the gaming phone. Notably, the smartphone is said to include an RGB-lit back logo and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for display protection. Furthermore, it is expected to have an IP68-rated chassis, increasing its resistance to water and dust.

Images of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro Have Leaked

An alleged exclusive has showed legitimate high-resolution photos of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro. These photos are provided by Mysmartprice, who acquired them from their own trusted sources.

While Asus still has a few weeks until the planned launch, we do know what to expect thanks to a leak in December. However, photographs of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro were not available at the time, and there are some surprises.

According to the photos, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro will sport a design that is identical to the Asus ROG Phone 8 leaked photographs from last year. Those photographs, which were part of a WindowsReport exclusive revelation, showed that the ROG Phone 8 will have a squared design with slightly rounded corners, as well as a new camera bump on the rear glass that contains the three sensors. Finally, according to the source, the Asus ROG Phone 8 would sport a cluster of RGB lights on the rear.

The biggest design distinction between the Asus ROG Phone 8 and the ROG Phone 8 Pro looks to be this. According to this fresh source, the ROG Phone 8 Pro's lights will be on the rear, but they will be a variety of LED dots that can allegedly be programmed to adopt various forms. This isn't unexpected given that this is a feature on more expensive Asus phones.

Aside from that distinction, the two phones look to be visually extremely similar. Nonetheless, there appear to be minor variations in the phone's internal components.

The primary difference we've seen is the amount of RAM on both phones. The Asus ROG Phone 8 will reportedly feature a maximum storage capacity of 12GB, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro will reportedly have a storage capacity ranging from 16GB to 24GB. The ROG Phone 8 Pro appears to contain more RAM than the standard model, with a maximum stated quantity of roughly 1TB.

No pricing information have been released as of yet, but fans can expect the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro to cost roughly $200 more. This is consistent with the pricing variations between the previous Asus ROG Phone 7 and the Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. Only time will tell if the possible hardware variations are significant enough to justify the pricing discrepancies.
