Asian markets start a new week on the positive note, gold falls by 1 pct to $1,279

Most Asian indices are trading on the positive note on the first working day of the week. Japanese Yen gains in early hours on the back of higher than expected trade balance data. On the other side, gold falls by 1 pct to $1,279 points.

Japan’s Nikkei N225 was trading 2.12% higher at 15,934.53 points in Tokyo.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 1.34% higher at 1,979.17 points.

The Shanghai Composite opened some 0.10% lower at 2,882.27 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 1.07% higher at 20,385 points.

India’s BSE Sensex was trading 0.38% higher at 26,625.99 and NSE Nifty was down by 0.41% to 8,138.10 points.
