Asian markets mixed, gold rises more than 1 pct to $1,219 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a mixed note on the Monday. Commodities like gold and silver were also trading higher. Gold was trading around $1,216 mark while silver was tradin around $17.16 marks.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 0.97 percent lower at 18,953 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.04 percent higher at 22,896 points.

Shanghai composite index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,125.42 points and China's CSI300 index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,359.05 points.

Taiwan stocks open up 0.4 pct at 9,363.66 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.04 percen lower at 2,064 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.42 percent higher at 8,383.70 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.32 percent higher at 27,121 points.
