NEW YORK, May 19, 2017 -- Dr. Si-Hoi Lam, Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, has been selected to join the Education Board at the American Health Council. He will be sharing his knowledge and expertise in Internal Medicine.
Fellow of The American College of Physicians, Dr. Lam utilizes his three decades of expertise in his role as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine. Established in 1810, Yale School of Medicine is recognized as the world-renowned center for biomedical research, education, and advanced healthcare.
Following graduation with a medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine in 1980, Dr. Lam completed a residency at Albert Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
As an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Lam’s day-to-day responsibilities include training medical students/residents and duties in Primary Care and Clinical Internal Medicine.
Among his many accolades, Dr. Lam is proud to be a recipient of the 1990 CT Health Commissioner’s AIDS Leadership Award and 2011 Yale New Haven Hospital - Outstanding Community Ambulatory Teacher. He is most proud to have served as the Principle Investigator for the NIH funded AIDS Clinical Trials in the 1990s.
Looking back, Dr. Lam pursued the field of Medicine after discovering how Internal Medicine can be rewarding, gratifying and challenging.
Considering the future, Dr. Lam hopes to pursue more challenging opportunities and excel in his role at Yale University School of Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Lam enjoys sailing, regatta, reading, concerts and hockey. In honor of his parents, he set up a scholarship known as, Lam K.T. & Lee Ling Scholarship Fund for Community Service for the Pritzker School of Medicine at University of Chicago.
