Adidas Basketball and Donovan Mitchell have introduced the D.O.N. Issue #6, set for a July 5 release, featuring various eye-catching colorways designed for performance and style.
Mitchell's Sixth Signature Sneaker Unveiled
Sports Illustrated shares that along with the adidas AE1, Harden Vol. 8, and soon-to-be-released Dame 9, this sneaker was first seen in January and then formally unveiled at All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. Donovan Mitchell, a player for the Cleveland Cavaliers and adidas Basketball, introduced the adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 earlier today.
This performance-oriented sneaker is Mitchell's sixth adidas signature shoe. If you had seen the first game of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, you might have remembered that Mitchell had introduced the sneaker that had not yet been released. He followed that with a sentimental pink colorway for Mother's Day.
Issue #6 of the adidas D.O.N. collection is said by adidas Basketball to symbolize Mitchell's "Determination Over Negativity" and encourage underappreciated sportsmen to have faith in themselves and their abilities.
Mitchell’s First Low-Top Signature Shoe Debuts
D.O.N. Issue #6 introduces Mitchell's first low-top shoe, a departure from his hallmark line that is matched with a refined and elegant aesthetic.
At its center, the shoe features a mesh cage that showcases the Three Stripes branding. The tongue and laces are adorned with wavy TPU treatments. When it comes to performance, Issue #6 is Don's lightest signature shoe to date, thanks to the Lightstrike Pro cushioning.
Colorway Options for Every Style
In an effort to please a wide range of customers, the rollout selection includes both bold color palettes and more subdued styles. Both the violet/black colorway shown during All-Star Weekend and the multi-colored pair that Mitchell debuted during the playoffs last season are appropriate for the event.
Mitchell informed sneakernews.com that this colorway is known as the "Camp" in adidas DON Issue 6; Don plans to distribute pairs to recruits who sign up for his upcoming Spida Elite Camp this summer. To read the complete Q&A, tap here.
A pristine all-black pair with subtle red and blue details, what appears to be a "Spida-Man" hue, and a vibrant green, yellow, and orange combination are some of the other options. On July 5, 2024, you'll be able to buy all four pairs for $120 each from adidas.com and some other retailers.
