A solid close in U.S. markets lead Asian markets higher, gold appreciates in early hours

All the major Asian indices are trading on a positive note on Wednesday. In addition, U.S. markets closed higher overnight and lead Asia to open up higher too. On the other side, gold continue to trade higher and remains supported well above $1,311 mark while USD/JPY hovers around 102.50 marks.

Japan’s Nikkei N225 was trading 1.78% higher at 15,596.40 points in Tokyo.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 1.43% higher at 1,964.17 points.

Shanghai composite index to open up 0.2 pct at 2,918.53 points and China's CSI300 index to open up 0.2 pct at 3,142.48 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.70% higher at 20,313.15 points.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.89% higher to 5,148.80 points.

New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index traded 1.04% higher at 6,786.43 points on Wednesday afternoon in Wellington.
