If you’re excited about the upcoming Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why,” so is Selena Gomez.
The pop star, who is also one of the producers of the Netflix drama, shared some thoughts about Season 2 to a radio station. She said, "I think for season 2, we elaborate more on some of those questions and the stories and the resolution, if you will, of what some of these kids have gone through and are going through. So it's exciting."
Gomez also hinted that the writers are cooking up something good for the fans enough to love Season 2 more than its original. She explained, "I was in the writers' room the other day, and they're working so hard and it's going to come together. I was sitting there at the table, like, “Wait, what happened?!” Almost freaking out.”
J-14 noted that while Gomez hasn’t spilled much about the second installment, it is enough for fans to get excited about the the tale of Hannah Baker, and what has happened to the main character after the events in Season 1.
On the other hand, she acknowledged that despite the controversial topics explored in Season 1, she didn’t expect such a powerful response for it, Bustle noted. She added in the interview, "I’m so excited for season 2. I think it’s going to be so exciting because you know, I didn’t expect the first to be as loud, if you will? I didn’t expect it to have the reaction that it did. It was amazing, and it was complicated, and there was a lot of stuff that came with it, and I understood what that meant."
