There will be no new episode to air this week as “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13 is delayed until early 2020. On the bright side, the next installment will be worth the wait as it features the end of the fight between Escanor and a rampaging Meliodas. The end of the episode is also likely to open an all-new story arc with the surprise return of one character.
‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods’ episode 13 spoilers
The Seven Deadly Sins with Goddess Elizabeth and Elaine defeated Melascula in the final episode of 2019. However, Escanor still faces a grave threat as he still goes up against a rampaging Meliodas once the anime returns. The captain still dominates over Escanor as he reaches combat class 142,000 in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13. But Escanor has one more trick that would ultimately lead to his success.
Once the sun reaches its peak at noon, Escanor transforms into “The One” described in the manga as an invincibility incarnate. With this much power, he manages to slash through Meliodas’ body and cause enough damage to knock him out. This is how their fight will end in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13.
Unfortunately, this will not bring Melodias back to his old self, and Merlin will be worried that will never happen. Escanor and Meliodas are damaged from the fight. While Escanor is more physically hurt, Merlin is more worried about Melodias as the dark power eats away his consciousness.
‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods’ episode 13 release date
Despite Escanor and Meliodas' condition, Merlin tells the others that their plan will push through. Their mission is to proceed to Camelot and free it from the Ten Commandments. Entering Camelot will be easier as the dimension warp vanishes after Melascula’s defeat.
Based on the pacing in the previous episodes, “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13 will cover the last chapter of the Corand arc and the opening of a new story arc called Prelude to the New Holy War.
There is a great chance for “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13 to show the meeting of a very frightened Orlondi and Arthur Pendragon. The anime will return on Jan. 8, 2020.
