iPhone 7 is once again in the limelight with recent reports suggesting that Apple will be collaborating with its arch rival Samsung for OLED display.
Value Walk reports that according to latest rumors, the South Korean tech giant has won an important contract and will be producing some of the screen orders for the Apple Watch smartwatch, and it could lead to a surprisingly future collaboration with the iPhone 7.
Apple Watch features the critically acclaimed OLED display, which has also been widely used by Android smartphone makers, including Samsung. It seems that apple will use similar screen technology in the iPhone 7, expected for September 2016.
According to ETNews, Samsung has already provided OLED display samples which may be deployed in the upcoming smartphone from the Apple family. The iPhone maker reportedly wants to use OLED for increasing specifications in the smartphone series that have taken a back seat due to a number of production delays.
The Cupertino company is yet to make a final decision on this technology, sources close to Apple told Value Walk, adding that the corporation would likely make this choice in November. However, Value Walk points out that with the production plans for the 2016 iPhone already being laid out internally at Apple, it seems unlikely that screen technology will be a major aspect of the iPhone 7.
