iPad Pro 2018 Release Date, Features: Is Apple's Sexy New Upgrade to the iPad Worth It?

Apple's recent hardware event unveiled so many exciting new products for Apple fans to gush over. But one of the most surprising things about the recent announcements seems to be the radical shift in how Apple is starting to treat its iPad Pro 2018.

In a report on CNBC by Jon Fortt, the new iPad Pro 2018 is described as almost looking like a laptop. It seems that Apple is starting to slowly shift away from its old trend of not mixing certain interface features between its different product lines such as tablets and laptops. But with the iPad Pro's new marketing direction emphasizing its capability of being used with an attachable keyboard, the tech giant may be taking a step back to reassess its current direction.

One thing is for sure – the Apple iPad Pro 2018 is definitely not a starter purchase for any budding Apple fanatic. With the 11-inch iPad Pro 2018 coming in at a value of $799 – $928 if coupled with Apple's new Apple Pencil – the mini-companion is even more expensive than Apple's own Mac Mini, which already boasts a significant boost in capability and specifications.

But according to Apple Insider, the iPad Pro 2018 may be worth its price considering what it can do. The publication recently praised the iPad Pro 2018's amazing facial recognition feature, its sleek new look, the inclusion of a USB-C port, and the amazing experience of its new edge-to-edge display care of the removal of the home button.

The publication also points out that the iPad Pro's own processor and graphics performance should not be underestimated. Fans are told to expect the new iPad Pro 2018 to almost match the new 15-inch MacBook Pro's performance – even outperforming the 2018 13-inch MacBook Pro and the 2017 15-inch MacBook Pro. This revelation puts the recent marketing of the iPad Pro as a more miniaturized laptop than a tablet in perfect context.

Fans of the iPad Pro 2018 who just cannot wait for Apple to ship its latest version can already order their units on the Apple store. The only thing stopping fans from enjoying the new iPad Pro 2018 is its Nov. 7 shipping date, and how far away they need to ship it to everyone's doorstep.
