Nwanne Dike Ijere

PhD researcher, Federal University of Technology Owerri
Nwanne Dike Ijere bagged a PhD in environmental health biology from the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) in 2023. She has been teaching and researching in her field of study for over six years.

She also has a Master of Science in environmental health biology from FUTO (2015). Her first degree was in plant science and biotechnology from the Abia State University, Uturu (2008).

Dr Ijere has taught at the Imo State University, Extension Services (2020-2023) and the College of Arts, Science and Professional Studies, Aba (2017-present). She has attended and participated in over 20 national conferences. She is passionate about carrying out qualitative research and has published the findings of her research studies in reputable, peer reviewed scientific journals.

Dr Ijere is also a member of some professional societies: Nigerian Environmental Society, Grassroots Environmental Healthcare Initiative, Foundation for African Development through International Biotechnology, Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, Environmental Health Scientists Association, Nigeria and Society for Environmental Health of Nigeria.

She has received awards of excellence as a peer reviewer of the following international journals:
