Associate Lecturer in International Relations, Staffordshire University
I am an Associate Lecturer of International Relations at Staffordshire University. Before joining the Staffordshire University I carried out my PhD research, which was on Turkey’s relations with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in the School of Politics and International Relations at Keele University where I also taught a number of courses with the themes of peace, conflict and security, International political history while carrying out my Phd research. Currently I am working on a book project titled "The geopolitics of Turkey-Kurdistan Relations: Cooperation, Security dilemmas and Economies."
I am interested in the following research areas: Global Security and the Middle East, Turkey’s foreign policy, Kurdish question and Syrian crisis. Finally I am a member and regular attendee of Chatham House events.
