Researcher, Lancaster Environment Centre, Lancaster University
I research energy issues through the lens of cultural politics. My current focus is on how industries shape cultural life in west Cumbria and what implications this has for the politics of green transitions.
Outside of my research, I sit on the Westminster Energy Transition Commission, and was until recently a city councillor with responsibilities for climate action. For a number of years I worked for the food waste platform Too Good To Go including as the UK Head of Partnerships.
My research sits within the Climate Citizens project at Lancaster Environment Centre. More information about the project is available here: https://climatecitizens.org.uk/
