Principal Lecturer, Sheffield Hallam University
I have been lecturing in Film Studies at Hallam for almost ten years after having completed a BA and MA in Film Studies as a mature student. I have taught predominantly on modules concerning British Cinema, Documentary and cinema in the 21st century.
I have developed strong links between the Humanities department and the Showroom Cinema and numerous film festivals that take place in Sheffield. In addition I have forged links between Sheffield hallam and community cinema groups in the city. These initiatives are designed to provide our students with work-based learning opportunities and promote the university to the wider public with collaborations with external partners.
In January 2016 I will be leading a team of staff and students in a weekly radio show of film on Sheffield Live.
