Honorary Fellow (Philosophy), Durham University
I'm a member of Durham University's Centre for the Ethics of Cultural Heritage and an Honorary Fellow of its Philosophy Department. My research interests are centred on ethics, broadly construed. In relation to heritage ethics I've written about landscapes on Earth (Foreign and Native Soils: Migrants and the Uses of Landscapes, forthcoming in Cultural Heritage, Ethics and Contemporary Migrations) and beyond (Exploring the Heavens and the Heritage of Mankind, in Commercial Space Exploration: Ethics, Policy and Governance). I also seem to have ended up with a research strand on video gaming and virtual reality, mainly by publicly complaining about how other researchers have used the term 'virtual'.
