Eviane Cheng Leidig is a PhD Research Fellow at the Center for Research on Extremism at the University of Oslo. Her project compares Hindu diaspora responses to Islamic extremism and anti-establishment in Brexit Britain and Trump's presidency in the US. Eviane also serves on the editorial board for Studies in Ethnicity and Nationalism, a full refereed journal publishing on issues of ethnicity, race and nationalism.
Eviane's research interests are built on a multi-disciplinary platform that takes a diverse approach towards considering integration, multiculturalism, and community cohesion within contemporary societies.
