Curriculum Development Manager, University of Auckland
I am a diverse academic who trained as a Scientist (Bio/Chem), taught Science for a couple of years and then moved into educational design, technology and curriculum development. Now, I focus more on leading and facilitating change in higher education through effective, research-informed practice. I enjoy working with fellow educators to build capacity for teaching with technologies and inclusive design, often drawing on my own experiences as a student and creator/facilitator of postgraduate courses. While I am a pragmatic innovator, I do have a penchant for experiential learning with contemporary teaching and technologies. I have led and/or managed a wide range of projects: experimenting with new tools and techniques and actively evaluating, researching, contemporary issues in higher education. My doctoral study investigates the role of networks on developing capacity for teaching with technologies.
