I joined the School of Soical and Political Sciences in September 2018. I received my PhD in Politics from the University of Glasgow in 2017, and an MSc in Public policy from Nankai University in China and a BA in Public Administration from the same institution. My main research and teaching interests lie in the areas of Chinese welfare politics, state-society relations and the policy process, with a focus on the Non-local Chamber of Commerce, Household registration policy and elderly care in China.
