Michael's research focusses on dynamic macroeconomics, looking at taxation, public debt, the economic effects of immigration, as well as the emergence of multiple equilibria in models of economic growth. He has worked in the research department of the Bank of Israel and has previously taught at the University of Houston and the University of Haifa. From 2010 to 2013 he served as Head of the Department of Economics at City University London.
