Visiting Research Scholar in Renewable Energy, Strathmore University
Dr. Rebekah Shirley is the Chief Research Officer (CRO) at Power For All, a global education and advocacy initiative founded by energy access practitioners to advance renewable, decentralized solutions for universal energy access. Rebekah is also a Visiting Research Scholar at Strathmore University, in Nairobi, Kenya. She completed her doctoral studies in Energy Resources in 2015 at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on building optimization tools for energy planning in emerging economies, and grid integration enablers including decentralized technologies, electric vehicles and productive use appliances. She lives in East Africa, and also conducts research in Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
