South Korea’s five-star hotels are now scrambling to accommodate pets in an attempt to survive the pandemic era as many guests refuse to go on an end-of-year vacation if they have to leave their pets home.
Lotte Hotel & Resorts now offers a ‘pet-cation’ package, available until late February, that would allow pets into their facilities for the very first time. The package includes a ‘welcome pet’ gift bag that includes toys, picnic bags, and potty pads for pets.
Meanwhile, the Millennium Hilton Seoul Hotel, which allowed pets last year, recently offered a ‘Very Very Important Pet’ (VVIP) package for 50 guests sold out early this month.
Hotel Shilla Co. is now offering pet services, although it still does not accept furry guests.
South Korea’s five-star hotels typically refused pets due to problems they bring, such as like noise and cleaning.
