Microsoft announced the mid-April lineup of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass. But the company also revealed that two games published by Ubisoft will be added to the subscription service’s library in the coming months.
Xbox Game Pass community lead Megan Spurr announced in a blog post on Tuesday that “Assassin’s Creed Origins” will be one of the new titles to be added to the catalog “in the next two months.” The 2017 game was mainly set in Egypt covering the latter part of the Ptolemaic era.
Its story is focused on a Medjay named Bayek of Siwa, who is set on finding the masked men that abducted him that led to him unintentionally killing his son Khemu while they attempted to escape. At the time of its release, “Assassin’s Creed Origins” was generally received well by critics, praising the developers for its visuals and overall game design.
With “Assassin’s Creed Origins” being one of the well-liked installments in the franchise, fans have been wondering if Ubisoft plans on launching a new version of the game that would take advantage of the higher specs of the current-generation consoles. While a re-release has not been announced, Ubisoft confirmed last December that it is “looking into adding 60FPS support” for the game. To this day, though, the publisher has yet to provide details for the patch’s release date.
While we do not have any specific details, we are able to confirm that we are looking into adding 60FPS support for Assassin's Creed Origins ????

Spurr also announced that Xbox Game Pass members are getting “For Honor: Marching Fire Edition” in the coming months. This is a bundled release from 2018 that included the base game and the “Marching Fire” expansion. This edition has also been optimized for newer consoles, delivering up to 4K and 1080p resolutions on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, respectively.
Once these Ubisoft titles arrive on Xbox Game Pass, “Assassin’s Creed Origins” will be available on console, PC via the Ubisoft Connect app, and xCloud. “For Honor: Marching Fire Edition” will be playable through the same platforms, and it will be a nice addition for Xbox Game Pass members who have already played the base game through the subscription service.
