Microsoft is not done adding more games to the Xbox Game Pass library this month. The company announced on Thursday that subscribers are getting five more games at no additional cost, including two titles that were previously only playable on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Xbox Game Pass members get former PS4, Nintendo Switch exclusive titles
One of the more popular installment of Sega’s “Yakuza” series was “Yakuza 6: The Song of Life” that launched exclusively on PS4 in 2016. It was a significant part of the franchise as it marked the end of the saga focused on Kazuma Kiryu, so it was a bit of a letdown when the game was not immediately made available on other platforms.
Luckily, the exclusivity period is over for “Yakuza 6” and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have immediate access to the game. Gamers with the Ultimate membership can now download the game on PC, Xbox consoles, and compatible Android devices through xCloud.

Part of the new Xbox Game Pass additions is the acclaimed RPG “Octopath Traveler” from Square Enix. The game originally launched exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2018, but it has since been made available through other platforms such as PC the following year and Google Stadia in 2020. It is then only fitting for Microsoft to finally get the game for its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
“Octopath Traveler” lets players assume the role of one of the eight playable characters and set out on an adventure in a place called Orsterra. Each character comes with a unique backstory so choosing one of them will greatly affect how the game will progress. The characters also have different ways to interact with NPCs that have a significant influence on the gaming experience.
How to join Xbox Game Pass
Three more titles were added along with “Yakuza 6” and “Octopath Traveler.” The adventure game “Genesis Noir” is launching on Friday and will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on day one. “Supraland” and “Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - Ultimate Edition” were also added to the Xbox Game Pass PC catalog on Thursday.
Gaming fans can sign up for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $14.99/month to get access to the games available on PC, Xbox consoles, and cloud. Microsoft also offers console- and PC-only tiers for $9.99/month.
