Delos Inc. will have to make major renovations to its parks in “Westworld” season 3. Unfortunately for Maeve (Thandie Newton), there is a chance for her to become a host again. Only this time, she will live in a park with features inspired by the World War 2 era.
“Westworld” season 3 leaks: Maeve’s back to being a host?
Maeve was one of the important characters in seasons 1 and 2. She was one of the first hosts to gain consciousness and seek to gain control of her fate. However, her crusade to save her daughter ended up costing her life in season 2. But, later on, several pieces of evidence proved that Newton would reprise her role in “Westworld” season 3.
Daily Mail obtained photos and videos reportedly taken in Spain where “Westworld” season 3 was filming. Newton and Rodrigo Santoro, who portrays the host Hector, were seen in the photos wearing era-appropriate costumes. More clues have been spotted suggesting that Delos is opening a war-themed park. But Maeve’s and Hector’s narratives in the new park is still unknown.
It is also not surprising for Maeve to come back as a host in “Westworld” season 3. At the end of season 2, it was revealed that Ford (Anthony Hopkins) had dreamed of seeing Maeve go out in the real world, but the host keeps coming back to the park for her unnamed daughter. With the way things ended for Maeve in season 2, it also seems like viewers have not yet seen the last of Maeve’s quest to find her daughter.
“Westworld” season 3 release date, cast
While many aspects of the “Westworld” season 3 plot remains under wraps, HBO has at least confirmed that the show would return in 2020. The series is also set to welcome a number of new cast members with Aaron Paul taking up the main character role.
The first official “Westworld” season 3 trailer unveiled Paul’s character, but HBO decided to leave out his name. Meanwhile, it was also confirmed that he is set to meet Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) in the “real world” and that he is accepting criminal contracts with Lena Waithe. Vincent Cassel is announced as the next main villain, but his character is a no-show in the said trailer.
