N7 day just ended, but the effects of the event still linger in the minds of those who attended. It also helps to have two new videos to watch over and over again. There’s the new teaser trailer for the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda title and what seems to be an orientation video for joining the “Andromeda Initiative.”

Fans of the spacefaring series have been waiting for the release of BioWare’s epic new game for years since the third installment of the original trilogy ended. The title was supposed to be released in 2015 but simply kept getting delayed. During the interim, however, the studio has been releasing snippets and teasers to no end. The information that could be gleaned from the tidbits were limited as well, and the newest trailer is no different, Ars Technica reports.

Those who were hoping to see some gameplay footage during the event were sorely disappointed when all they got was yet another cinematic clip. The new trailer features the male half of the Ryder siblings and the video was narrated by the original “Pathfinder,” who happens to be the Ryder patriarch.

Predictably, the trailer alluded to something going wrong during the 600-year trek between galaxies and the brother and sister having to take up the mantle of their father. The trailer also offered a peek into the new enemies that players will get to unload space-age bullets into, including one that seems humanoid in form.

Aside from the cinematic video, the event also yielded a 2-minute clip, which functions as an introductory walkthrough of the trek’s beginnings. The video is meant for would-be explorers who applied for the “Andromeda Initiative” and were accepted, Polygon reports, and reveals quite a bit of the game’s backstory.

The person featured in the clip introduces herself as Jien Garson, who claims to have founded the initiative. She also congratulates the viewer for their acceptance into the program.

The clip also serves to confirm long-standing speculations that the trip is meant to be a last-ditch effort to save the species of the Milky Way from getting annihilated by the Reapers. The video doesn’t go into specifics of that storyline, but it’s the one that most analysts are saying make the most sense.
